Description

An African-American mother writes a poignant story about her struggle for the education of her children and other minority children in today's schools. In this non-fiction book, "A Name I Can't Read: The Rocky Road to Literacy, A Mother's Story," Claudia gives perspective on the stuggles of minority children in integrated schools in America. As case studies, she chronicles her two children's school years in both Illinois and Texas and gives highlights on the plight of several other families.
